truth be told
I have never had a happy childhood.
not in my memories or vague impression at least
My childhood memories are blighted by the constant pressure to perform to be the top few in my classes
Failure to reach 45/50 or 90 and above constitutes a failure
And that means suffering of the body.
School holidays are never really holidays
Not in my opinion at least
I have to always prepare for the next year
Watching cartoons and playing computer games are much like a taboo
Suicide was once on my mind
It was that close
Academic aside
I have never really remembered happy moments in my childhood
Not that my parents are wayward
But there seems to be a lot of disagreements between my parents, my siblings
Which often ended up in a not a pretty state
Shoutings,cryings,locking up in rooms are quite common, just to name a few
Never really felt pampered before as a kid
Dunno whether is this a good or bad thing
Family aside
When i grew up
I gradually began to understand the roots of these disagreements
Which i shan't say
But is pretty lousy a reason in my opinion
Those dramas you watched on tv
Which you think are all fake
Actually do happen in reality
And it happened to mine.
Sucks
What to do
I was never really involved in such disagreements
But i actually came out one of the worst victims I would say
I once snapped somewhere this mid year
It is really hard to tolerate all these arguments
Why can't we just be happy
Especially since a joyous occasion is coming
Ironically
The joyous occasion is the root of the disagreement

Is it so hard to plan and execute it really?
I dun understand it
Maybe i never will
There are a thousand and one reasons to start an argument all over
I have survivied somehow for 21 years and going

hahaha, spent time with darren, raj over sat nite to watch the man u nite.awesome shit watching how manu won 7-1.but the highlight of the night wasn't that. it was rather on our dear paladin raj.feel kinda sad that i wun be able to attend his glam and geek party, cos i will be in malaysia.dun worry raj if u ever see this, there will always be a next time we will have fun again like the epic night when i was pitcow for a night.

course ended.became a sergeant finally.although i had initally wanted to be an officer, but i realised mayb i am not juz qualified enough.a sergeant rank is gd enough for me and i am glad i made it through 2 months of tough yet fun and memorable training with fun ppl ard.thinned down a lot especially during these 2 weeks.last last week was survival training when i did nt eat anything for 2 days, and last week was a 5 days outfield summary exercise where slp and nice food is nvr enough.time to fatten up a bit.life back in my unit is far better than that during course and i have some trouble adapting to it.lol.

juz finished a memorable 7-8km fast march carrying a 20+kg load on thurs.that was the first time i think in 3 months that i ever carried a load and marched ever since the completion of my sispec course way back in august.was made front scout and thus have to lead the guys with my pace.it definitely wasn't easy.especially the ending part where we have to march round and round the parade square until the last guy came back.literally felt like crying but am glad that i made it through.next week will be the start of my recce course and i am gonna pull through it no matter how hard it gonna be.

bike course has juz ended for me.it had been a very fun course.feeling a bit sian that it is all over now.will definitely miss the instructors there esp mr wong and leong who have made my course very fun and enjoyable.
anyway i reported back to my new unit at keat hong camp direct a day after my bike course ended.was a nicer camp compared to that at kranji and had some pt to toughen us up.sian.i foresee a tough week ahead when the csm and mayb oc return.recce course is not going to be easy.

half of my 1 month bike course is over!starting my public road riding tomoro after 2 weeks of dull riding ard the circuit.bike course has been fun mostly except during the travelling part when i have to travel from my home in JE to bedok everyday from Mon to Sat as it is a 5.5 days work week.Staying out and enjoying life as a half-civilian has been nice.
2 more weeks and i will have a driving permit to drive the class 2B bike, and it also means the end of the stay out course and moving to my new camp at keat hong, and also another beginning of training to prepare for the Recce Commander Course in november.Tough luck that i have to be a recce.
wat to do?enjoy life when can lo.

It's all over!2 months of TOUGH sispec training is over.frankly speaking the corporal rank is not easily earned at all especially when u r in a siong company like my legendary charlie company.we went thru much more shit than the other companies some which are so slack that i am totally stunned by the way they train their trainees.anyway it feels good wearing that rank knowing that u totally deserved and worked for it.my next posting doesn't look good either.Armour recce in the 4 SAB at kranji.damn.another siong vocation.guess my ns life is destined to be tougher than the rest.another 3 months of training b4 i earned that 3 stripes and many more months of training and courses to go b4 i can really slack like the instructors and enjoy my remaining ns days.
booking in tmr morning at 0745.9 more hours of civilian life b4 i start a new chapter of my ns life.

when i stepped out of camp this week i never felt so happy in my life.finally the week has been over.been feeling shagged all the way throughout this high tempo week.basically only slept bout 4+ hours each day.had live firing of matador (anti tank weapon) and M203 grenade launcher on mon,had navigation exercise on tue in macritchie,had field camp on wed and thurs and live firing on fri b4 booking out only on sat.had a driving test on sat and so managed to book out a few hours earlier than the rest who had to undergo RT for being so called not up to standard this week by our PC.managed to pass the TP test anyway and so can drive car liao but only auto car since i learn auto car only.lol.fri was the worst day of my life.was basically soaked in water and mud the whole day from 7am to 10pm or so.the feeling sucks man.the feeling of shagged+wet+hungry cannot be described in mere words.was thinking of home all the way throughout friday.home is still the best man.
next week will also be a high tempo week.navigation exercise tomoro,SOC test on tue,field camp on wed and thurs.sian sia.
3 weeks more!

woo, nights out today so here i am sitting at my comfy home in front of the com typing this entry.2 more hours to enjoy before leaving home for the camp again.u just cannot get enough of civilian life when u r in army.cv life is shiok ah.
this past week has been mostly lectures and lessons.learnt cpr and got my lifesaver cert, learnt about the m203,saw and matador weapons, a full rundown on our dearest SOC playground and IPPT test.SOC full rundown is no joke, running 600m to the SOC ground in SBO with a 3+ kg rifle on your back and clearing all obstacles before running 750m to the endpoint.literally felt like dying and giving up esp the last part, but i glad i didn't and obtained an okay timing of 10 mins flat.got a gold for my IPPT though and that means $200 more for my next payday i hope.
tomoro is a hectic day.whole day is dedicated to navigation and it is not easy.very easy to get lost and dirty in the jungle.estimated time to book out tomoro is late at night.very late, very very late.but no matter what i will still crawl back to my house if necessary even if there is no public transport to take me home. The happiest thing in my NS life is walking out of the camp gate knowing that you have a good 2 days out in the world to enjoy.

it is 2206.my book in timing is 2100.another class sunday night when i feel emo b4 i book in.sian.next week is a relatively ok week with mostly lessons which means mental torture as i always have to find ways to keep awake or else my weekend flies away, and IPPT test and SOC rundown.The IPPT test involves $$$.Gold = $200, Silver = $100,Pass= nothing.i hoping to perform well to get gold as it is the award that gives u the recognition and most $$$.anyway life has been getting better in sispec with more admin time and more freedom to do wadever u want.5 more days to next bookout, 6 more weeks to passing out.come on.

anyway, found a job as a call operator in singapore powers. nice job actually with sociable colleagues ard and that makes work less like a drone.only when i started working did i realise that studying is much better.can't believe i said that but it is true.u definitely can't sleep during work but u can in sch.u can't come late for work but u can do so for sch.work ends at 5 on weekdays and sch ends on 1 sometime.haha, anyway, it is quite a nice experience and my payday is near!!!
went for a driving lesson today. my first one. initially was nervous and i reversed my car up a kerb, but after a while, got used to it and got the hang of it driving.19+ more lessons to go before I can complete this course and go for the traffic polcie test and get the license.
monday going back to nj to paly a match.been a month since i went back, shall go back to look for my missing bottle den.haha.looking forward to going back^^
about this time next week, most of my frens shld be in NS alr.good luck to them and all the best to them who wanna go to OCS!=).My turn will come somewhere in april though and that is only 3 months away.so exciting.

after reading khoo's blog, i oso had the same feeling.i can't wait for As to be over, and the seniors' camp to come and play with my juniors on that synthetiv field.wahhaha.i wanna play right mid and relive some of the good old soccer days.

woo.its been almost a month since i last blogged.life been the same nowadays.with prelims and A Levels approaching, life is becoming more and more hectic than usual. time kinda flies. 2 years in NJ is going to pass so quickly. have been thinking what i would miss most when i leave NJ and go NS. well firstly wil definitely be my soccer teammates, they r the one who spent equal or not more time than me training their guts out, playing their heart and soul into football matches and made my life in NJ much more meaningful. secondly, will probably be my class, although our class is kinda divided, but after all i spent 2 years with them. thirdly, i think will be the surroundings. come to think of it, if i ever get to choose to go a JC again. NJ will most probably still be my 1st choice. Some people will complain about regretting bout coming to NJ sayinglife in other JCs is much better, but as the saying goes the grass is always greener on the other side, if we choose other JCs, we will still probably end up complaining. for me, i never regretted. if i never came into NJ, i will most probably lose out on knowing these great bunch of soccer teammates and some of my classmates who have been wonderful as well!
other than those complaining about JCs, people also complain about how some teachers CMI at teaching and how other JCs teachers are better. actually, i do agree with their point on some teachers CMI in teaching, but i m glad to say that most teachers(including some which is CMI in teaching) is putting in their best efforts to help us attain our goals in As. that i think is better than those teachers who r good at teaching but not willing to sacrifice their time or put in their best effort to help us attain our goals.

haven really updated this blog for quite long.lol.cos nowadays my life are monotonous.mug and mug and mug. having a bit of trouble trying to finish the revision cos i started a bit late.but nvm, i m sure that if i keep up the current no life, drone type of mugging lifestyle,i MAY complete the syllabus on time for the CT2.
anyway, last week was slightly more life compared to others.went to watch shrek3(lame movie.lol) with my classmates and played soccer with the nh team.lol.In a bid to add more life to my life this week i went to play street with neighbours below.quite fun actually when there is a lot of team and u r playing uor best to remain in court to carry on playing.
realised that i really haven been meeting my soccer pals nowadays despite their repeated calls to ask me go to sch to mug with them.really feel paisei bout this but for me going sch is troublesome.lol.have to walk 10 minutes to the bus stop, wait for a ever unreliable 154 service and take a 30mins ride to sch and to avoid walking the main gate i will have to wake up earlier and i m not sure i can go there to mug with all the soccer balls distracting me there.mayb i have yo be a solo mugger den.lol.

today went back nj to have a senior junior match.lol.out of 16 potential seniors,i think only 8 or 9 came.wad poor timing.raj got pox,zhikai checkup,faye sick,liushuo go geylang(lol),jason yenzhi attitude,pangseh us.anyway, the match was quite fun la.we played without any tactics.it wasn't even a match la,its just for us to enjoy.lol.i ended up dribbling to much and got kb by my team.lol.if coach ever see me play like this in a real match,i m gone."i might as well play with 10 man"this famous quote will forever be in my memories.feeling a bit sad that our current field is going to be torned down soon.Although the field conditions sux,but i have been playing on that field for a year.

Just back from the malaysia trip.this trip was more fun as compared to last year due to the introduction of a few more crappier juniors like benjamin raj-a who got so much cock to talk.haha.felt that after this trip, we get to know each other better esp. with the juniors who just got in.for me personally, this trip is both a memorable and a forgetable one.Memorable in the sense that we had fun together as a team, forgetable in the sense that my football had nose-dived again.felt kind of disapointed with myself.i tot i had not only let myself down,but also my team-mates and coach and ms koh down.Especially after all the cut seeing fellow seniors being dropped out of the team after working so hard, i felt i should perfrom better not worse.but during this trip, i made silly mistakes.really silly ones.positioning 0,awareness 0, marking 0.everything 0.wad's wrong with me?i dun really care now cos that's the past.i should start looking forward to the future and improve on my performance.i can't change the past but i can change tomorrow.it's not over.

that's the scoreline for today's friendly with hci.got the season going on a right note and i do hope that our team can end this year nationals on a right note too.wanna congratulate the team for winning cos we deserved the win.good defence, some good attacking play.lol.even coach also said we played like chelsea for some parts of the game but there's always room for improvement.hehe.
played for 30 minutes today.performance was average for me.Though i have improved my game(that's what i think)i still need to work on my speed,getting past defenders more often and think better.that means i need more practice on the pitch!
school's just started and the going is soon gonna be tough but i noe i can do it. yes i can.i want to fight for a place in this year nationals and as well do well in my studies.

31st Dec 2006.11pm.1 more hour to the year 2007.How time flies.Holidays juz end liddat.
Today went back to nj for a farewell party for ms ho who is going to england to study.wish her all the best for the future ahead.i guess we, the soccer team, are the most hardworking cca in the whole of nj.be it monday tuesday wednesday thursday friday saturday or even sunday, there's a probability that we will be in sch training or doing soccer stuffs.lol.
today was supposedly to be a 13km run, however due to our team's high integrity and initiative for doing strengthening, we were spared from the run and engaged in another activity-- street soccer.lol.the opportunity cost of doing so is that we have to do a 13km run ourselves on either monday or tuesday.lol.doing it on mon though cos tues i got some activities.

2nd consecutive training day, going on 3rd and 4th on fri and sat, today training ok la. did some weights and a recovery run and that's all.tomoro will be a gg day though.lol.suicide runs tomoro.friendly during the first 2 weeks of sch term and then the axe comes.muz try to improve asap now or else my cca for the rest of the year will be mugger cca.i juz dun wanna end it so soon. And this year Nj came up with a funny rule that says those who fail common test cannot take part in nationals.lol.the first most probable subject i think i would fail is econ. juz damn hard to get the concept down right there.so muz do more econs ques now.

LOL.no training tomoro.expected a training tomoro.that means there's a high chance that i will not have training for 2 days cos of cip obligation on tuesday to da bird park.and the most interesting part is that we have to learn how to juggle 3 tennis balls by friday.LOL.wonder wad's that got to do with soccer.
juz went to sentosa for a swim today and felt totally refreshed.the water's very nice.shiok i would say.and also visited the singapore garden festival at suntec.the landscaped gardens on show are quite nice.

finally taking a break from soccer training. so ya now i finally had some time to update a bit about my progress.this entry will be mostly about soccer stuffs and my thoughts and feelings about it.
over these two months of soccer trainings, i felt that i had improved my game.however, i am juz unable to perform well on matches esp during the m'sia trip and also at today's friendly with the seniors.yes the opponents are stronger but i noe that if i perform i am at least able to match up with them. but i juz dunno why i could not perform. i did went to do some soul searching to find the reasons why. i came up with two possible reasons: firstly was the focus. frankly speaking i lose my focus fast on pitches esp during hot days where my focus will decrease fast. that's something i ought to improve on and i am working towards it. next is the decisiveness whenever i ran into space with the ball, i often hesitated whether to pass the ball or juz go alone.often when people shout at me for ball i will pass it to them without much thinking. i guess i am juz too low on confidence too when holding the ball since i want the ball to leave my foot as early as possible. one food for thought here is that i muz be calm when holding ball, and think properly b4 releasing the ball to somewhere. so ya that r something i have to work on if i still wanna be in the team which i really want.
b4 the hols, i set myself 3 goals to achieve for soccer by the end of this holidays:Faster,stronger and 2-legger. frankly speaking, i think i only improved a bit in all these 3 aspects( not that much as i hoped for) but nvm i will still work on it together with the new goals i juz set for myself during matches)
Back to some other stuffs, holidays are nearing 2 an end, however the amt of homework is nowhere nearer to an end.guess i have to spend these few days of breaks on my homework.

2day the haze was damn bad...visibility almost 0...lol...when i come to sch, i saw the sun a dim orange and reminded me of the yolk found inside the mooncake...for a while i tot i was back in genting...lol...it was so misty everywhere, juz that the mist wasn't really mist but haze...shucks, dunno breathe in how many externalities already...Indonesia should pay us for the externalities...lol...but i wondered Indonesia realli got that much trees to burn?LOL...i think if Singapore were to burn all its forests, the PSI wun even be increased to 120++ lor, somemore Indonesia also quite a distance away from us...lol...haiz, becos of haze, soccer cancelled...sian...lucky PSI now under 100, or else i m panting while typing...now indonesia also released some wad poisonous mud into the sea, and i think soon the sea in Singapore also will become poisonous...think NEA should put a type of PSI into measuring sea water quality now...lol...advice ppl on when to swim or when not to...lol...mayb something like this

really feel tired 2day after the NJ open house...saw many of my nan hua juniors and played many matches with the soccer-wanna be's...the turn out at soccer booth was quite ok and we spotted some potential soccer players and tried to persuade them to come NJ and join soccer.lol.also helped out at the library to arrange the tables and chairs back to their original position as i m a student volunteer...lol
not bad...today i gain match fitness by playing field matches...lol

ytd played a friendly against acjc at acjc...lost 0-1 though, however, the results are not important at this stage...wad's most important is wad we learn from the match and how to improve from it...ya...so come on NJ!mayb one day we can break the curse of NJ soccer everytime losing during a friendly...lol...have to say something though...had we played for full 90minutes, instead of only bout 65 minutes which was ended early due to thunder and lightning, we colnd have gotten a goal...but nvm, we will do better the next time.=)

let's see...this is my 1st post in almost a month?haha...very very very busy nowadays, cos got studies and soccer to juggle with...worse, promo is coming...haha...pressure to perform well cos of the results i obtained in common. forget it, let's switch to a happier topic...haha...I m NO.12 for soccer, and got my jersey (mayb not exactly a jersey). Played my first competition last week and NUS and lost...nvm...we will improve one...haha...coach been coming nowadays and the focus is on building up a strong defence within our team...played as centreback ytd between the senior junior match...quite ok la...budden darren seriously dislocated his arm after falling to ground...hope he is alright...we need him..

hmmm..a slack day for me 2dae...haha...was able to slack cos of the long weekend...w00ts...last night pia finish my PI until 1 plus in the morning and woke up at 10 plus this morning...lol...i m a pig...later stone at my table at the dynamics tutorial...i can't even do a ques lol...decided to go cycling after lunch so there i go...i cycled to jurong east to meet up with some old friends and ya in the end played soccer with them...haha...i succumb to soccer easily...anw played for a while den rain liao...hehe...fortunately i cycled back in time to home to avoid being drenched...haiz...s1an...managed to finish my dynamics tutorial after looking and thinking hard for bout 3 hours...still got lotsa work to do...econs la,chem la...s1an there goes my sunday:(...

haha...got nothing to do so blog 2dae and 2dae happen to have lotsa of things to blog bout.how exciting.haha
w0ke up later than usual and reached school at 0740 to attend e flag raising...at first i tot a lot of ppl sure p0n the flag raising...turns out to be opposite lor...njcians r so guai...l0l...shld have cam later though cos no flag raising...
went for the arts education class A which is more popular i think...haha...the theatre is so packed...i and xueyuan have to sit on fl00r...the show was nice and funny lar...the importance of being kiasuness...haha best of all it only lasts for half hour and we r free...later i, xueyuan and ferarina go library to muggg...mugging is fun...haha...mug until 10 plus then go makan...xueyuan was like nagging me to go queensway with him...i follow lor, budden the backgate is locked and we lazy to walk one round...budden due to sianess we decided to walk somewhere near nj....wad turns out to be a short walk in search of a ice cream store turns out to be a walk to queensway...lol...it is damn far lar...we walk past hci into the housing estates there and hit nyps den to st margeret and then farrer rd...we walked from one end to another...haha...we walk up and down,passing by rvhs and queensway sec...and this went on for an hour or so b4 reaching there...we saved 50 cents but the sense of achievement was priceless...haha...xueyuan went there to get a shirt for his bdae so that he wun go home empty-handed and make a wasted trip...haha...den took bus back nj lor...reach nj past 2 le den chiong to lt5 to watch mtv...so many empty seats lor...went to the darkest corner and slept there...woke up at times to watch occasional nice mvs...haha...den go home liao lor...

haha...went to play soccer=) 2dae with my x-classmates at j.e...was so worried that the weather will turn bad cos the rain spoilt the soccer day last week.keep looking outa the window.haha.nvr rain.heng siaa...play play play...haha.really enjoyed soccer.time flies when i play soccer.
